Love and other disasters by author Anita Kelly book review
This is the second book I’ve finished this year. I know better late than never to tackle my endless to be read pile. This is my review of Love and Other Disasters by author Anita Kelly.
This is my first book by the author that I’ve read. And I devoured it. Not literally but I loved everything about it. It is about Dahlia divorced, jobless, and on the verge of a life crisis but she manages to make it on to a cooking show called Chefs Special. Where she meets London and non binary person who she falls madly for. And it’s mutual. This could be a complete disaster or one of the greatest things that ever happened to her.
I adored the main characters in the book. The only two characters that you probably won’t like from the start are Lizzie another contestant on Chef’s Special. And London’s father who refuses to acknowledge that they are non binary and keeps referring to being non binary as a phase.
This book does have some steamy moments. With some serious topics and issues. Although, mostly a fast paced and fun read. The food descriptions are savory. And delighted the senses.
Overall, I give this book 5 stars. It was a book I wanted to keep reading. I feel like I could have devoured this book in one sitting if I had the chance to. I will read other books from this author.
