Abundance Has Included You

“Abundance comes from within it comes from thought, intention, attention and expectation.” – Deepak Chopra

I was doing a meditation on Aaptiv the other day and one of my favorite meditation teachers on the app said this quote from Deepak Chopra. “Abundance has included you.” I couldn’t find the exact quote but I found this other quote from Deepak Chopra on Abundance.

It struck a chord with me. So many times we focus on what we lack and not on what we actually have right now. I’ve been doing a lot of gratitude lately. And I do feel like focusing on what I already have and the abundance that is already in my life allows me to keep seeing the good things when they happen and not ruminate on the uncomfortable things.

I’ve been seeing a lot of feathers lately. Feathers according to many beliefs are a symbol of the protection and love of guardian angels and the connection one has with God or Spirit or Universe or whatever you prefer to call a higher power. https://worldbirds.com/feather-symbolism/

It wasn’t too long ago that I just about abandoned all belief in anything. I was having a very hard time and I really doubted the presence of a higher power. I thought how miserable I was feeling and thought if God or a higher power existed then why would I be going through all this and why would I be so depressed?

It wasn’t until I got back to my meditation and spiritual practices that I had before. Which, for me just started out as writing my Morning Pages as Julia Cameron calls them, and Soul writing as Janet Conner calls them in her books. These are different approaches but they are also quite similar. Both recommend doing them at the same time each day preferably in the morning. When you first wake up and you are in your Theta brain wave state from sleep.

I also started meditating again using Aaptiv App and Insight Timer App. These are things you can do regardless of spiritual belief. And I started feeling calmer and more centered and started noticing more things to be grateful for. I also started using The Fabulous app. Which helps you to build positive habits and cut down or eliminate bad habits.

I feel like since doing this my spirituality has flourished and my connection to something beyond me is growing again. Yesterday I saw a beautiful black butterfly and a dragonfly. Butterflies typically represent creativity, rebirth, joy, beauty, and growth. https://worldbirds.com/butterfly-symbolism/

Dragonflies typically represent change and transformation. I feel like I have been changing, transforming, and growing these past few months. I’m not exactly sure what that will look like for me. But, I know that I am in a better place than I was a few months ago and that outside changes are starting to take place. For example, I’m losing weight. I’m trying to take better care of my body. I have developed good habits like exercise and have been working on some negative habits like my sugar addiction. Especially when I’m depressed or undergoing a lot of stress. I tend to reach for unhealthy things. I am trying to replace unhealthy things with healthy things like yoga or meditation to relieve stress.

I’m not sure how this abundance mindset will unfold in my life. But, I am looking forward to the journey it will bring.
