I met my now-husband three years ago on a dating site. At the time, we were just getting to know each other. The dating scene was completely new and overwhelming to me, and it turned out to be my only experience with it. The first time we spoke on the phone, we talked for three hours straight. From the very beginning, I felt at ease and able to be myself around him. The following day, we met for coffee as planned.
Unfortunately, I experienced a wardrobe malfunction with the button-down top I was wearing, which belonged to my mother. The buttons started popping open, and by the time I was almost there, the shirt was unbuttoned. As a result, I had to rush back home and notify him via text that I would be delayed. I apologized for being late for our date.
I arrived for our date wearing a new top that didn’t require buttons. My lateness led him to believe that I might not show up, causing him to express his doubts. I felt guilty for causing him any worry. Nevertheless, we pushed through and enjoyed our coffee together.
Needless to say, the rest is history, We’ve had our share of ups and downs. It’s true what they say navigating the first year of marriage really is the hardest. And marriage is something that you need to continuously work on.
we had a really amazing time and would go back to this restaurant for sure. Here’s to many more years to come.
