Birchbox is a monthly subscription box service that sends you 4-5 beauty samples every month for $10 dollars.
This month’s theme was Fresh Paint. I actually really love the box this month. The pattern is very pretty and I can see myself actually keeping this box. I usually recycle the other boxes.
Now, some of the products I received this month.
PIXI
Shea Butter Lip Balm in Honey Nectar:
I really am enjoying this lip balm. It smells like honey and it is a nice neutral color. At first I was not too sure about the color because it is so neutral. But, it still gives my lips a hint of color. It lasted most of the day as well and really did help to hydrate my lips. This is something I can use during the day or at night before bed. I love the sweet honey smell as well. I also used it under lipstick and it worked well used like that too.
Yu-Be
Moisturizing Skin Cream:
This is a moisturizer from Japan. It is supposed to be a really well known and used product for the skin. Apparently it is popular for mountain climbers to use this. I actually can see why. I really wanted to like this product and I don’t dislike the product. But, when I opened it, it smells and has the same consistency as Carmex. I don’t dislike that smell or consistency but in my opinion it is better for the lips then the skin. I did apply it to my lips and it works great for that. However, I would probably purchase Carmex. Actually I already have some. For the skin it left a sticky residue. I will use this until it runs out but I can’t see myself using this on my skin. I will just use it as a lip treatment. Probably before bed like I use my other lip balms. However, some people might enjoy the consistency of this product on their skin.
Tommy Girl
Tommy Girl Fragrance:
This is by no means a new fragrance. However, I was excited to get this sample because I have never tried this perfume before. I love floral fragrances. So, I really am enjoying this perfume. I love that it can be worn during the day and at night because it is not too heavy. The only thing about the sample is I wish it came in a spritz bottle instead. Every time I open the cap a little bit of the perfume spills out.
Liz Earle
Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit:
I had never heard of Liz Earle before. But, I was absolutely in love with the packaging. It came in a beautiful blue package that reminded me of something jewelry would be in. I also love that it is a two part system and came with it’s own muslin cleansing cloth. I’m usually a little weary of trying new cleansers because I have sensitive skin. To my surprise this was actually really gentle. The muslin cloth did make my skin a little red but not as much as a washcloth does. It also removed my face makeup and a majority of my eye makeup. I love that it can be used to remove makeup as well. Since not all cleansers are made to do that. I can see myself using this everyday and I want to try more products from Liz Earle now.
Davines
Oi Conditioner:
Last month we could choose one product we wanted to get a sample of. I chose this conditioner because it is meant to help with tangles and used to protect and soften hair. It smells good. It has a floral scent but it is not overpowering. It is also Paraben Free. I haven’t tried this product yet but it is a fairly generous sample. It also came with some foil packets. A shampoo and hair oil.
*I purchase this product myself and pay for it with my own money. If you decide to use my link to sign up I get points awarded to me which I can choose to use for

Nice! I am a lip balm junky! I find myself putting it on several times a day so I have tried to ween myself off so that I only use it a couple times a day. I especially like neutral like you mentioned.
Tommy Girl!! I used to use that and it is a pretty smell.
PS- Carb post is up. Tell me what you think 🙂
