That time the Sky Fell Down

It has been quite a week for me these past few days.

First, my phone broke. I had it for two years. I had nothing but issues with it from the day I got it. So, finally a piece broke in it. It is amazing how one small thing can break and the whole thing does not work. I actually think the piece was loose for a long time and finally came undone completely. Which, means I need a new phone. I am not too upset about it. It is actually more annoying then anything else. I hope to get a new phone sometime this week fingers crossed. I feel a bit naked without my phone. I am so used to having it with me and randomly checking my e-mails and looking things up on the internet. It has actually made me more aware of how connected to media I can be. It has been nice to take a step back. Since I haven’t had my phone I feel like I am actually getting a lot more done. But, still it will be nice to have a phone again.

 Then we had a really bad rain storm. And the basement flooded. This is nothing new and usually happens once or twice a year. But, this time it was really bad. My mom said it looked like a river in the basement. I wasn’t home when it happened and by the time I got home the water was already down. But, it looks like a disaster and is going to be a pain in the butt to clean up.

But, the rain also caused my ceiling to crack in my bedroom. The water was leaking and it looked like a waterfall in my bedroom. Luckily, I put some buckets down. But, I seriously thought my ceiling might come crashing down. At least it is in the middle of the room. The cats were freaked out and were running past the water as fast as possible and looking at me like What the Hell!?

So, so far it seems to be okay. But, I’m still a little freaked out. I’m a bit paranoid if it rains again the ceiling is going to fall down on top of me.Well, at least we are moving in a few month’s. Let’s hope it doesn’t fall down before then.
