I read The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod a few years ago. I was devoted to my practice and practiced the S.A.V.E.R.S Every morning. Somewhere along the line I got busy and tired and my self-care got put on the backburner. I’ve had these periods before which include sickness, depression, injury, and more. One day a few weeks ago I was scrolling my Facebook Memories and I saw a post about My Miracle Morning practice. I felt a renewed sense of joy and hope to get back to my practice. So, I created a Facebook group called The Miracle Morning Self-love challenge. It is a private group for those who want to start/restart their practice of The Miracle Morning and incorporate more self-care into their life.
I want to start with Silence even though it is not necessarily always the same order that I have my practice. For example, today I worked out first. But, a lot of mornings I will start with silence.
Silence can be many things. It can be meditation, bible reading/studying, and/or prayer. Maybe Silence means something different to you. But, I will give examples of how I practice silence. By all means share how you spend your time in Silence in the comments below. I would love to hear from you and how you practice this means of self-care.

I have a lot of self-care apps. I admit I’m a bit of a self-care app junkie. But, you don’t need any apps to get started. Start with what you already have around the house and then you can build from there. Have a bible, a prayer book, a meditation book. Use what you have. If you don’t have anything there are a lot of free apps and/or ones with a minimal fee. There are also books on the subject of silence as well. I’ll recommend some books I use at the end of this post.
Insight Timer: Insight timer is one of my favorite meditation apps. You used to have to pay for it but I believe now you can do most of the meditations for free and/or pay an amount to get the courses. My favorite courses right now are 21 Day Reiki realization and Practicing the Tao Te Ching.
HypnoCloud: Hypnocloud has affirmations and meditations. I currently have the free version which still gives you access to quite a bit but you can always upgrade if you want access to everything. My favorite meditation is Law of Attraction Mastery,
Flowdreaming: I’ve been a flow dreamer off and on for quite a few years now. It is like visualizing while you are awake. But, also in a meditative state. So, it works great for meditation and visualization. Both apart of The Miracle Morning. I believe the app is free but you do have to pay for some of the meditations/visualizations. My favorites right now are Program Today: Good morning, great Day! and Wealth and Abundance.
Youversion: YouVersion is a bible app and bible study app. They have a daily scripture study and many bible plans. Right now I am doing the Undaunted bible plan based on the book by Christine Caine.
I also have the In The Vortex App by Esther and Jerry Hicks. I did pay something for the app but it was a few years ago so I don’t know how much it is now.
Some books that I’m currently using for my silence practice are:
Change me Prayers by Tosha Silver
A Course in Miracles
Prayer by Earnest Holmes
31 prayers for my future husband (even though I’m now married I just change future husband to husband.)
These are just some of the ways you can spend in silence and some ways I spend in silence. But, there are many more ways you can spend in silence as well. Feel free to post how you spend your time in silence and/or how you plan to spend your time in silence.
